Boxpark Film Festival

13 Jul 17

Hold tight movie lovers, have we got a surprise for you...

Next week, Boxpark will deliver Croydon's ultimate summer screening experience with a selection of classic musicals, family favourites and sing along showstoppers; all set to a backdrop of fantastic food!

Join us from 3pm on Monday 17 July as we kick-start the summer holidays with the sensational Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them. Set 70 years ahead of the wizard-ing world of Harry Potter, last year's smash hit sees Newt Scamander explore the underground world of magic in New York City as he tries to locate and capture some extraordinary and fantastic beasts.

On Tuesday, everyone's favourite forgetful fish goes in search of her family in Finding Dory. This hit sequel to children's classic Finding Nemo is full of heart and smiles and is guaranteed to please both kids and grown ups alike.

After our incredible midweek live performance from Shift K3Y and the London Mozart Players, we're setting up the cinema for another family showcase with the recent smash hit Sing! This animated musical, featuring the vocal talents of Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon, tells the story of a group of lovable and talented animals banding together to save a theatre. You'll be laughing and toe-tapping from start to finish.

Your Friday treat comes in the form of everybody's favourite singalong classic - Grease. How those thirty-something actors ever had us convinced they were teenagers, we'll never know, but that doesn't stop this mammoth musical from delivering in every possible way; there's romance, there's laughter and there's Grease Lightning

On Saturday 22 July, we invite you to enjoy the magic and romance of the City of Angels as a Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling deliver knockout performances in, offbeat musical, La La Land. Can love survive the pursuit of our dreams?

Your lazy Sunday entertainment is provided by the recent blockbuster, Moana! Set sail with Disney's latest heroine as she travels the ocean blue to save her people with help from the lovable demigod Maui.

Then, we celebrate the 1950's via the 1980's with the legendary Dirty Dancing. Sit down and prepare to feel nostalgic as we shake it up in style with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey - nobody puts baby in a corner!

Beat those Monday blues with a sci-fi extravaganza like no other. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story lays down the action packed adventure of the Rebel Alliance's attempts to steal the plans for the Death Star; paving the way for the original Star Wars classic.
