Boxpark Shoreditch 2.0

8 Jun 17

On Wednesday 7 June 2017 we celebrated the launch of Boxpark Shoreditch 2.0 in style. VIP guests were treated to an evening of spectacular food and drinks and live entertainment, as well as a giant adult ball pit.

It’s pretty well known now that Boxpark Shoreditch has had a lease extension of two years, and so, to maximise on that time, we decided to construct some major work on the top decking to make sure you can enjoy the space all year round.

The general layout hasn’t altered too much, however, the upper decking now features a covered ceiling to protect you from the elements and glass panelling along the side; which can also slide open during the warmer months. But that’s not all that’s new at Boxpark Shoreditch this summer.

Vegan powerhouse and local legends, Cook Daily, have upgraded from a single unit to a double unit; which means there’s more wholesome, meat-free, goodness to go around. They’re also joined by a handful of traders from Boxpark Croydon who have made the leap East to share their superb menus with you.

Joining Cook Daily’s vegan offerings is What the Pitta, the original home of the delicious Vegan Döner. The supreme chicken menu from Coqfighter has also joined the ranks, as well as the quality fresh fries and dips from Poptata. Those of you with a sweet tooth will also be glad to hear that the ladies behind Les Deux Amies have also brought their delectable crêpes to Shoreditch too.

Snoochie Shy took to the decks to set the mood as everybody arrived for drinks before Boxpark’s creator and CEO, Roger Wade, welcomed his guests to the new and improved Boxpark Shoreditch and invited everyone to take their seat and experience some of the incredible food on offer.

It’s safe to say that all guests were thoroughly spoilt as each and every food trader at Boxpark Shoreditch prepared and served a delicious taster item from their menu. There were succulent baby back ribs from Porky’s, giant slices of pizza from Voodoo Rays, Poptata’s legendary Lucifer Fries, fresh falafel buns from Falafelicious, halloumi souvlaki from The Athenian, Coqfighter’s incredible vodka-battered chicken wings, sumptuous sushi rolls from Sushilicious, a wholesome pasta dish from Osteria Della Pasta, What the Pitta’s infamous Vegan Döner and Cook Daily’s spicy and nutritious vegetable green curry. There was a very special selection of desserts too – Nosteagia served up their delicious cookie waffle combo, Soft Serve Society gave us their creamy charcoal coconut ice cream and, new arrivals, Les Deux Amies, prepared delicious parcels of Nutella, salted caramel and cookie crêpes.

There was live music too. After dinner, guests were treated to two incredible live performances from the hyper-talented Arlissa and Liv Dawson, before miss Sian Anderson herself brought the house down with an upbeat set that had everyone up and dancing.

Boxparks’ motto is Eat. Drink. Play. So, it was only right that we took full advantage of the awesome new ground floor unit from the mind behind Ballie Ballerson – Box Balls. This grown up ball pit is filled, waist deep, with over 100,000 coloured balls for you to dive into and, man alive, is it fun.

Check out the photos to see how the night unfolded and we’re excited to welcome you back to the new and improved Boxpark Shoreditch.
