Embellishment Workshop

You guys love a good workshop and this month's crafty caper, at Boxpark Shoreditch, comes from Embellished Talk

Embellished Talk was founded by Rebeckah Kemi Apara, a designer with a vision to create an inclusive space that enables people to learn and develop new skills and discover a range of textiles through digital content and creative workshops.

Rebeckah graduated with a degree in Fashion Textiles at the London College of Fashion in 2007. She has since worked for Osman Yousefzada at London Fashion Week, Cynthia Rowley, Jill Stuart and Catherine Malandrino during New York Fashion Week. Rebeckah has also previously held workshops with GURLS TALK (founded by model Adwoa Aboah) at their festival in collaboration with Coach, WAH Nails, Second Home and recently in WeWork London Fields.

On Tuesday 12 September, during London Fashion Week, Rebeckah brings her fantastic Embellishment Workshop to Boxpark Shoreditch.

You'll be shown interesting and creative ways of customising everything from a t-shirt, a tote bag and even a canvas clutch. It doesn't matter whether you're experienced or a complete novice, Rebeckah welcomes people of all abilities to take part and explore their creative side, and all materials, textiles and equipment will be provided on the night.

And that's not all! You'll also receive a plain cotton tee or canvas clutch for you to embellish, as well as a goody bag of sewing items to help you to practice your newfound skills at home.

The Embellishment Workshop begins at 7pm on 12 September and there's still time for you to grab your ticket for the event. If you want to drop by a little earlier then you'll be able to sample any number of delicious meals, appetisers and desserts from our exquisite food traders at Boxpark Shoreditch, otherwise, there will be snacks and refreshments provided during the workshop.
