Icons of Hip-Hop Pop-Up

1 Feb 17

To kick off the February pop-up residencies, We’ve got Legendary photographer Eddie Otchere’s & Hen’s Teeth in to sell their legendary prints of Eddie’s photography over the years, as well as hoodies, Tee’s and the odd Hip-Hop vinyls. We caught up with the guys to gather some more info:

Tell us about who you are and what you do?

Hens Teeth Prints is an Irish online store offering affordable, contemporary art from a specially curated roster of Irish and international artists. We also run online publication This Greedy Pig, and have recently launched our own small creative agency offering content, curation, design & events.

Which song best sums up your brand?

That’s ever changing, but our favourite track of 2016 was by ‘Paradise Valley’ by London native Jay Daniel.

What can we expect from your stay at BOXPARK?

Good tunes, friendly faces and limited edition art that you’ll want to put on your wall.

Which piece from your current collection is your favourite?

That’s a tough one, but our J Dilla limited edition print has to be up there. Shortly after we produced this piece with Irish artist Denise Nestor, Dilla’s estate contacted us asking could they use it as artwork on his 2015 release ‘Give em What They Want’. That was a good day for us!

What’s the best reason to come to Shoreditch for a shopping spree?

Boxpark, House of Hackney and the Carhartt store.

What does the future hold for your brand?

Boxpark is our first international show, and we hope that it’s the first of many. We want to release prints with our favourite artists worldwide. Keep your eyes peeled for another show in Shoreditch later on this year with some incredible artists involved.

You have until Sunday 5th February to catch the Icons of Hip-Hop pop-up here in unit 26 of BOXPARK Shoreditch!
