Pop-up: Project Period

26 Sep 18

Tell us about who you are and what you do?

Period Project is here to provide a space for existing allies to organise and create a global coalition to fight against period poverty. We’re building a movement set on providing period products to all those who need them, no matter where they are from or how deep their pockets are. In coming together with our partners, we’re maximising momentum on efforts to bring progressive period policy onto the global agenda.

We’ve brought together artists, writers, designers, jewellers, menstrual health experts, and many more talents from around the world to create this shop to celebrate people with periods, and to help put an end to Global Period Poverty. At the centre of our story is Juliana, of Nakuru, Kenya, who is creating sanitary pads for all girls who need them in her community. A proportion of everything sold in our shop will be going to Juliana’s project so she can set up a sustainable hub to create the pads locally.
