Spotlight: Kabab

We don’t do pretentious at Boxpark, which is why we’re serving up kebabs…but not as you know them. We caught up with, founder, Phil Hinitt to find out more about his Kababs.

Tell us who you are and what you do.

We are Kabab, a gourmet grill concept that loves to create fresh, free range kebabs as well as salads, rice boxes and sides.

How did Kabab come about?

I worked in digital marketing for years. I love food and brands and I always wanted to create my own. I‘m from New Zealand and there the kebab isn’t just for 3am, it’s flavour-packed using fresh bread, sauces and salads. I wanted to bring my passion for this type of Mediterranean food and my love of the BBQ together to launch in London.

What song best sums up your brand?

We tend to play 90’s R&B and Hip Hop a lot in the kitchen, so I’d say ‘Regulate’ by Warren G.

What can customers expect from you at Boxpark Wembley?

Fresh, vibrant flavours inspired by all over the Mediterranean, with kebabs like you’ve never had before.

What is your favourite item on your menu?

Personally, I love the Cypriot Mac n Cheese but you really can’t go past a grilled chicken kebab with halloumi fries tucked inside.

Which other Boxpark trader would you recommend to customers?

Cut and Grind, for sure. Literally award-winning, super tasty burgers and a fantastic team.

What is your favourite thing about Wembley?

I love gigs so I’m really excited about being close to the stadium. It’s gonna be great seeing lots of happy people getting ready for an awesome night out!
